B. Jelks‘ birthday celebration was fun as usual.  Great food, excellent drinks, and extraordinary people.  My cohorts and I got pulled over by the police on the way to the bash but that’s another story.  Big ups to C. Dixon for the photos, DJ Mike-N-Ike for spinning the tunes, and B. Jelk’s for us something to do that was out of the norm.  Good times.

The music mixer was a success.  We had a bunch of fun.  There were two photographers there but here are the pics C. Dixon captured. Good Times!  I put the link to the rest of his pics at the bottom, BEWARE!!!, the bad shots are in there too :/

Shad & Friend’s 3rd Annual Bday Bash was a huge success.  This year it was at Club Traffic in Houston, TX.  Big ups to my boy Eric and 713vip for showing love.  They say it was near 700 people in there that night, but I don’t even remember … lol!  Here are some of my favorite pics from that night.  You can click the link below the pics to see them all.  I’m sending out a special ‘Thank You’ to all who came and all who wanted to come but couldn’t make it.

Since my birthday party is steadily approaching I’ve decided to give you all insight into the actual photo shoot and pics that were used for making the flyer.  As always my personal photographer, Evan Ross, took care of the pics.  We’ve known each other for maybe 6 years so there is that unspoken level of trust and respect that we have for each other.  Two of my close patnas, J. Hooey and JK also was with me so you know we acted a fool.

That morning I sipped on some Bailey’s and we rode to the location.  The photo shoot was actually shot at Prairie View A&M University, a great school with a beautiful campus.  I always feel at home when I touch down out there.  The bathroom scene was shot in the Hobart Taylor building which turned out to be a great look since the color of the tile is a dingy brown which added to that grimy effect.  The stadium scene took place in the football stands and the weather was perfect, as you can see.

All in all we had a great time.  Afterwards Evan and I met up to talk about the vision I had and he turned it into the perfect ‘softcopy’ (E-Flyer), he’s a beast in Photoshop, trust!  Check me out!
